Bathing

The final day of our mini break.
We started with breakfast at Carnaby’s, an ordinary look it cafe tearoom by the side of the road. However it has a remarkable and unusual menu well work a visit! See extra for Andrew enjoying his Brioche!
Then on to Low Newton beach. Pepper wanted a swim, Rob took the others birdwatching. The beaches here are so beautiful with clean sand and water, you might expect them to be busy but they are just empty!
We then went on to Craster for a little lunch of freshly smoked kippers, at the Shoreline cafe, so delicious! And of course a visit to the smokery to buy more to take home.
Then we set off towards home. We stopped in at Belsay Hall thinking we might have a visit but it was getting on in the afternoon so we left that for another day after a cup of tea.
So we have had quite a weekend and lots of lovely food! I will certainly like to visit that area again for a longer stay.
