Sammy Sundew

I have named my sundew plant Sammy Sundew.

Sammy is now in location, with its forked arms all spread out. This particular variety is a trailing one, so would apparently look nice in a hanging basket. I’ve trailed the arms so they’re up close and personal with the plants affected by the fungus gnats (aka sciarid flies).

Sammy has already caught a canny few fungus gnats, so it looks a bit icky now. But, unlike fly paper, Sammy will absorb the creepy-crawlies it catches.

I think, as long as I can keep Sammy alive, it will rid my plants of fungus gnats and keep them that way.
