Wildcat cars

Our bed and breakfast is on the grounds of a former amusement park called Rocky Springs. It was open from the 1890s to 1981, with a break when it was closed from 1967 to 1978, and featured roller coasters, spinning rides, games, and anything else you'd find at an amusement park.

An 1855 mansion is where the B&B is. There are remnants of the amusement park all over the grounds, from a carousel house to these cars from the Wildcat roller coaster. Wildcat ran from 1928-1965.

It was amazing seeing it in person. I loved getting to photograph and touch these cars. I can hardly imagine what it would have been like to sit in them on the coaster.

After touring the park grounds, we went to Dutch Wonderland, a small amusement park for children. We rode rides and hung out. The park closed at 6, so we drove around looking for a place to eat. We found nothing. The park reopened at 7, but this time for adults only. There was a special event going on only for people 21 and older. It featured alcohol, food, some rides, and a DJ. That was really fun.

In extras: Kingdom Coaster, Jill riding the log flume, and Merlin's Mayhem coaster.
