Grieving gumtrees

This gumtree came down in the huge winds a week ago. It was sawn up and cleared off the road, but the remains are still there, waiting to be taken away. The gumtrees that survived seem to be standing around grieving for the lost one. Somehow it reminded me of those pictures you see of grieving elephants.
