Solstice

Yes today is the Winter Solstice and shortest day of the year here or Mid Winter.  In Antarctica they will be celebrating with Mid Winter Feast and getting up to all sorts of shenanigans as is the tradition.

Sunrise was at 6.56 am and sunset at 4.55 pm which means our day was exactly 9 hours and 59 minutes long.  It's all downhill from here to longer days.  Hooray!  I am of course showing the dandelion clock at 9 hours and 59 minutes precisely.  Or, a mid dandelion.  Found on my walk with Maggy this morning.

I am looking forward to seeing the entries for Tiny Tuesday and will hope to have the results out in my blip on Thursday.
