An early start

Fellow blipper A and I were up at 4am this morning to walk down to sea to see the sunrise on the longest day. It seemed such a good idea when we planned it ! However I think it was worth it. Today's itinerary included the Botanic Gardens at Ventnor, St Catherine's Lighthouse and a drive along Military Road. Some beautiful views. We stopped at Freshwater Bay at Dimbola Lodge, a great little tea shop/ museum dedicated to the life and work of Victorian photographer Julia Margaret Cameron.
Also at the location is a bronze statue of Jimi Hendix that commemorates the first Isle of Wight Festival
I'm loving my first stay here on The Island.
