Pretty Eye Patch

Ellie had a follow-up Eye Doctor appointment today; her lazy eye has not improved, so she now has to wear an eye patch at least 2 hours a day. The hope is that the weak eye will get the message it has to work harder because the other eye isn't going to do all the work. Ellie was agreeable to it and forgot she was wearing it, leaving it on for over 3 hours today. The doctor says it will be a long-term process; I hope she continues to be agreeable to wearing the patch. I think it helps that the children's eye doctor sells little girls sweet-looking patches; of course, they are $50 for a box of 60. I wonder how young families afford things like this for their kids.
