Day #18 of #30dayswild was spent surveying Tolworth Court Farm Fields LNR in Kingston-upon-Thames. Seven fields support fragments of relatively species-rich grassland and lots of butterflies including thriving populations of Marbled White, while the thick Blackthorn-rich hedges and wood fragments support an interesting invertebrate fauna, including a large population of brown Hairstreak. There are plans to improve the grassland management, and the data I was gathering will provide a baseline to measure the success of this.
