Stickers

What does one do with one’s museum sticker after exiting the museum? One sticks it to an unused door or drainpipe of course.
M and I had a memorable day in Carlisle visiting the splendid Tullie House Museum as well as lots of M’s old haunts, including his old school and his first employer’s office.

Everyone we met today was incredibly friendly and generous, including the receptionist at the swimming baths who showed us the old Victorian Turkish baths even though they were closed. Also the headmaster of M’s old school who spent an hour taking us on a guided tour and then gave M a limited edition print of the school by a local artist and a cricket jumper bearing the schools colours.

It was a brilliant day.
