A lovely break

Early in Sept 2021 I booked for us to see Mark Rylance in Jerusalem in London. So you can understand our fear when we realised that whilst today was not a train strike day, we were being advised not to travel.

We were delighted to have the fastest, cheapest trip to London in years. We stopped at only one station instead of 6. And both trains were on time.

After a lovely walk through Soho we had a light lunch in a pub In Dean Street (see Jack in collage).

Then we were in the longest queue of ticket holders at the theatre...round the block! (see collage)

The play has already won a lot of awards here and in the USA and it is a brilliant visual production and Mark Ryland is superb and Mackenzie Crook also very good. They are sold out for all shows and we were told we could make crazy money if we sold our tickets.

The final fun thing was as we were leaving the theatre Jack wanted to pop to the gents toilets. We were looking a bit lost when a man said "I can tell you". We turned and who was it but Wayne Sleep the dancer. IHe saw that l that I recognised him and he was charming. And we found the gents!

All in all a lovely day.
