A New Beginning

Just round the corner from yesterday's blip is this new complex of flats which overlook the historic Paisley Abbey. Given its proximity to the Abbey it is hardly surprising that the new development has been called "The Cloisters".

Until a few years ago this was the site of a rather unattractive local authority office block best described as modern brutalist. Fortunately it was decided to redevelop the site and this is the pleasing result.

Hopefully a similar transformation will befall yesterday's abandoned store and a bit of a revival in the area's fortunes will take place.
