Gently down the stream

By Miranda1008

Shakespeare's birthday

So what's Shakespeare got to do with this image? Well, nothing. Because although there are several willows growing aslant this brook, and later in the summer you can find the requisite long purples, I wanted to catch the moment when the old plant husks are broken down and the new growth not yet too lush. This means you can slide down the bank to the stream edge. Some mean little stingers did beat up on me, but at least I didn't fall in the water!

So that was lunchtime. I'd actually gone out to meet up with people. I missed them but who could resist the sunshine? Hope you enjoyed / are enjoying it too
