Symbol of Kyiv

Seen on our daily walk (to Boscombe for Polish bread, followed by flat whites - back by bus), these magnificent, but scarred, horse chestnut leaves.

Happened to look up the origin of the tree’s name (https://www.countryliving.com/uk/homes-interiors/gardens/news/a659/why-called-horse-chestnut-tree/) and discovered it’s a symbol of Kyiv. Long may they flourish there.

Rushed back to watch the tennis (Eastbourne). Saw Harriet Dart put up a brave fight against Plíšková. Sadly not be.

Drizzling now. No downpours yet.

Blip is for Ingeborg’s Abstract Thursday. A colourful abstract - that would fit my ‘favourite’ category.
