Felley Priory & Trent Bridge dining.

A trip to Felley Priory Garden was interesting as was impressed with the manicured shrubs and packed flower beds, the topiary really was excellent and must have taken years to achieve.
Felley Priory was established in 1156 but the dissolution in 1536 by Henry 8th most of the priory was demolished and the current house was started in the 16th and 17th centuries and was plundered again during the civil war.
The house is owned by the Chaworth-Musters Family who became owners in 1822 but not family members occupied the house until 1973 when Major Robert Chawirth-Musters moved in. It is currently occupied by Major Robert's grandchildren their father and step mother.
With the house being occupied it is only the grounds which are accessible.

In the evening the gift from my Sister and Brother-in-Law was dinner at Trent Bridges Six Restaurant high above the wicket giving a great view of the action, Nottingham beat Derby convincingly.
Fine dining and cricket what could be better for a birthday!
