Bo'ness Fair 'een

No, not Disneyland,  but The Queen's  'Arch'. More correctly  Decorated House frontage.
The Thursday  night before the last Friday in June every year, except  the last 2 , is Fair 'een. Bo'nessians  from across the planet, return home for the tradition of 'Walking the Arches'.
This is the Queen elect's, street, with her home behind this amazing artistic structure. The clock on the front shows  the time she will be crowned, by an old school mate of Ally's this year, in a lavish ceremony, at the Glebe Park. Most of the able.bodied people in the town will be there, but it is also broadcast online, for the interested.
Blip won't  let me post a link, but search for Bo'ness Children's  Fair Crowning Ceremony 2022 and you'll  get there.
My old home town, I am proud of you, fir continuing  this wonderful  tradition,  which brings the town together  in a community  spirit  that is unrivalled anywhere.
The cost of Arches is huge, so fundraising  goes on throughout  the year. Still some families won't  put there children Into the draw for one of the main participants due to cost ( and workload). There must be late nights and stress involved. But this year, the whole town has outdone itself.
The 'Best day of the year', as it's  known will happen as long as there is a 100 Bo'nessians  alive.
I fervently hope.

As aye,

XS
