A Weed

A weed is just a plant in the wrong place…. We have lots of this growing in the cracks of the block paving. Having looked at it quite closely, I rather like it…it has little orange buds (extra) that develop into the lovey yellow flowers…this one is about 1cm in diameter…and is one of the larger ones! It has lovely dark purple/green leaves.

I believe (from a Google image search) that it is known as Creeping Woodsorrel.

We are babysitting our youngest granddaughter until Sunday evening, as our daughter, husband and eldest granddaughter are off to London as a birthday treat for eldest! They are going to a theatre and to Harry Potter studios.

The only downside is that youngest has erupted with chickenpox - as has over half the nursery class she is in. We have brought plenty of treatments for her! Once again, blip time may be limited and I may have to catch up next week!!
