Hospital Waiting

Jack was booked to arrive at hospital at 8.30am this morning. We arrived on time to be told that the doc lived in London and would be late because of the train strike. He arrived at 10.30am. There were 2 people in front of Jack. He finally went in for his mini op on his eye at 1.00pm! We left eventually at 2.15pm. Phew!

There was nothing on his booking letter to say he couldn't drive home so it was a good thing I went with him because he would have been stuck! He is very uncomfortable with thick plasters over one eye. But he can take the plasters off tomorrow. Hopefully he will make a good and quick recovery!

I stole a lady's wrapped packet of 3 hospital custard creams when she went home! The Treatment Centre's cafe was closed. I was hungry after 5 hours!
