A new toy

There was a pleasant change in the weather which suited me perfectly: sunny, warm, but not too warm, and a breeze to keep the midges away.

In the morning N and I drove over to Tobermory to check on our “new” boat to make sure it hadn’t sunk since it was launched earlier in the week. Thankfully it was bouncing happily on the waves as we rowed out to her so that we could set up the radio and the new chart plotter before we venture out onto more open sea in the near future. We left Bertie at home to look after the house as he doesn’t yet have a life jacket.

I spent the afternoon tackling the jungle once again and managed at last to turn the rose bed into a weed-free zone, although I know that won’t last long.
