An undisturbed boggy patch of ground close to the shore on what for centuries was common grazing for Rosehearty, provides a rich habitat for wild flowers. Included in this glorious yellow green and purple tapestry are Northern Marsh orchids, forget-me-not, tormentil, silvered field and creeping buttercups and spearwort.
