Co-parenting

These two hens spent 21 days in the same laying box, sitting in 18 eggs. Only two hatched. Both hens now consider themselves parents. The chicks don’t seem fazed.

In the evening I head to Glasgow. Angus and I meet at esushi and have some food. Nice enough, but not a patch on Chiruzu Tei.

Then it’s Midsummer Night’s Dream at the botanics. It’s an outdoor production, seated on a grassy slope. We’re not close enough to the stage and, combined with the noise of the traffic, it’s hard to hear the dialogue.

Then it starts to drizzle and we abandon the show. We wander over to Oran Mor for a half pint. When we come out, it has begun to rain heavily. We make a dash to my car and I drive Angus back down to his Jimny. A good evening.
