In The Pink

I find astilbes hard to photograph, almost as hard as to say the word, wanting to say astibles instead. I think it's because they are so finely detailed, yet they look at their best en-masse. Anyway, this deep pink variety were very striking in the direct light of the evening sun.

The little patches of out of focus yellow add some variety and I lifted the deep shadows quite a lot to avoid dark holes in the image.
