Gloucester Armed Forces Day

Gloucester Armed Forces Day was, once again, a resounding success. The public responded in their hundreds, maybe thousands through the day as people were coming and going.
There was only one very heavy downpour, that was before the parade formed up, on the road from the Cathedral. You can see from the gargoyle that a lot of rain fell in a very short time. There's an extra of the wet ground too.
Johanna showed up too, with Ruby and Eric. It was so lovely when they ran across to give 'Grandad' a cuddle. I stole that photo off Johanna.
It was a shame that the flypast didn't happen, this was due to high crosswinds making it unsafe for a vintage aircraft to even take off from RAF Coningsby, never mind fly, and manoeuvre, over a city with a tall Cathedral.
A great day and the chance to meet old friends that I hadn't seen for a while, and make new ones as it turned out.
