Swisspiper on the Summit …

… of the Pointe de Drone above the Grand St. Bernard Lake (extra) and Col today. It is three years since we last met up, and, apart from covid, it has been three years of great changes for her and her partner. A lovely catch up while our menfolk walked around the lake till we descended for lunch on the Italian side of the Col. For the mountaineers amongst you, the view of Mont Blanc and the Grand Jurasses you can see here, is one of the best in the Alps. Good to have hands on warm rock climbing to the summit aided by a few ladders, and arriving on top before the weekend tourists arrived.

Thanks so much for the presents for the different moods of the Dents du Midi yesterday too. I never get bored of this mountain and it seems you don’t either.
