Back to Burghley Park

... where there were fabulous flowers, including wildflowers covered in butterflies, and some new sculptures, and others on loan. This metal sculpture is called Vertical Face II and created by Rick Kirby. Flower photos in Extras from a lovely walk around these fabulous grounds. 

We also went inside the house for the first time. Left it a little late as it was close to closing time, so we shall definitely return: there's so much to see. We have our Historic Houses membership cards, so we might even return on the early side - in every sense.

It was fun watching LMB watching The Clangers earlier. A visiting 'blob' kept dividing and redividing, like multiplying cells. She was squealing with laughter and said, "Blobs EVERYwhere!" adding"Hilarious!" Not a word we'd heard her use before!
