Life's a Beach

We went for a walk on the beach and it was warm and sunglasses were needed.  We saw a child flying a kite, a family singing happy birthday to a child, various dogs, families walking, couples walking, one brave swimmer and two metal detectorists.  The tide was out and we waded out to the sandspit and the water wasn't freezing. Coming back I saw these  little girls were interested in what he was doing.  I have borrowed an Australian song.

Beachcomber From Wollongong   John Williamson

He's just a beachcomber from Wollongong
A metal detector from Wollongong
Gold watch, a diamond ring
Sometimes he doesn't find a thing . . .
