When is a Defender not a Defender ?

When it's this Chelsea tractor .....
Cattle fed ,then a quick change and headed off to the Highland Show with Mrs F and Littlemiss. Junior opted to stay at home and dog sit .
After a 2 year absence it seemed busy enough.
Left the other 2 to do all the craft tents and food halls while I headed off round the machinery lines. The usual big kit that no doubt costs double what it did at the last show, that's if you can get it.
Spotted this Landrover Defender on the Landrover stand.
It's fairly obvious as a company they no longer have any interest in providing a workhorse that once was the mainstay of farming and industry world wide. I can't see this thing hauling 3.5 tons of cattle and trailer through the mud ,or chucking a couple of ewes in the back at lambing time while the clarty collie gets to ride in the passenger seat. The only mystery is why they called it a Defender at all .
Headed off to have a look at the new members pavilion and the ladies decided it was Pimm's o'clock.
After watching the cattle parade in the main ring, which was very impressive, and another wander round we headed home . That's it for another year !
In the extras,I spotted this 1977 JCB. We used one similar building sheds in the 1970s,but it didn't look as smart as this !
