What is it?

The 52frames challenge for this week is “what is it?” I thought that this theme would be easy for me to accomplish because I enjoy closeup photography so much, but I didn’t have much inspiration this week until I noticed a huge pine tree in my sister’s yard. It was loaded with pine cones, but they were all too high off the ground for a macro image with the camera I had on hand. I finally found one lonely cone on the ground, and I created this image of that one for the challenge.
