Wings akimbo

Even windier today ....... but we went out for a walk anyway ..... that's the intrepid people that we are! Lol

We came across this Cinnabar Moth being blown about all over!

It managed to land on the road .... you could almost hear the sigh of relief as it got away from the buffeting wind!

However ... after a short photo shoot .... we decided we couldn't leave it there to get run over so moved it across onto the verge!

You can see the effect of the wind on it in the image on the right! It did mean that we got a view of the beautiful red underwing which is usually hidden :-)
