Ann Bolton

Today we celebrated the life of Ann Bolton in Eastbourne.  The Bolton's are dear family friends with whom we spent many holidays back in the day and with whom, us children, and now some of our children remain connected.

Like my Mum, Ann developed Alzheimer's in the last years of her life and the slow fading of the strong, loving, and warm person that she was, has been very hard for everyone.

Her children talked about their memories and my sister Sarah gave a tribute from the 'Humble' family.  Pete Long played 'What a wonderful world' by Louis Armstrong on the clarinet which had us all in tears.  But the most wonderful and moving tribute was from husband Eric 'she was my life and my best friend' and from her older grandchildren.  Pictured here, each of them recounted a particular memory they had of her.  It was a powerful affirmation of everything that was most important to her in life, family, education, caring and love.

RIP Ann Bolton you had such a positive impact on so many lives.  We love you and we'll miss you.
