The old ones are the best ones?

Not always where roses are concerned because more modern varieties seem to have a stronger resistance to black spot and rust etc.   This is an old rose  which was planted years ago and never performed particularly well so much so that on a couple of occasions I was close to removing it. Seeing this display I'm glad I left well alone. More of the bush can be seen in the extra.
