Never run out of onions....

....and never run out of passata. Okay, and maybe red peppers and lentils and basil, of course, and salt and black pepper, and you'll need water, it goes without saying and free range olive oil, and maybe some pasta. Rice is handy as well, preferably brown or basmati. And courgettes. Garlic is optional.You don't really need aubergines unless you are adventurous, and you don't need meat. I'm making tomato and basil soup tonight. Bugger. I'm a bit low on the basil front. Does anyone have some? Double up the bay leaves? Okay.
