Seal of Approval

A fairly dull and breezy day.

I’d only been married two weeks – a young and tender thing really.  I worked in Dyce.  The Current Mrs Creel was home, Disblair, between Fintray and Newmachar, playing at houses and waiting for a new teaching term to begin.  Came home and had my tea.  Absolutely no idea what it was.  What I vividly remember is CMC whipping out a newly baked batch of chocolate buns.  Once the kettle had boiled we moved through to what we laughingly called the front parlour.  It took only a few seconds for both of to realise that she had unwittingly made the buns with Bisto and not cocoa powder.  How we laughed.

I had a spotted dick.
