Backblip
Our first day in Norway was blessed with clear warm weather. After taking the Fløibanen funicular and admiring the panoramic view over Bergen below we walked through pine and beech woods to the lovely little lake at Skokomadiket.  Families were enjoying the local holiday with some canoeing and paddling in the warm sunshine and as we had a drink a damsel fly settled on my hand. While walking down the steep zigzag paths to Bergen over 1000 feet below (302m) my sister’s husband P, twisted his back and was in awful pain so at the bottom we found a taxi for him which cost about £23 for barely a mile.   S and I continued to visit the usual tourist sights including the picturesque colourful Hanseatic buildings at the Bryggen and the fish market.
