One our drive back to Oceanside, CA we stopped at the Mission San Miguel Arcangel so my wife could mark another one off her list. Its museum contained a large number of authentic objects from the late 1700's. This reproduction was from a later period, but the style and construction was mostly unchanged from the original ones.
