Helm Crag and Seat Sandal...

...from the path up Silver How.

A short walk from Grasmere up Silver How today after lunch. One of the benefits of Debs new job with the Lake District National Park, is we get a car pass for their car parks, which includes the one in Grasmere.

A bit soggy underfoot after all the recent rain, but it gave me a chance to try my new boots.

The extra shows the view from the top of Silver How, showing Elterwater on the left, and Chapel Stile Quarry on the right - served only by minor roads. There's a developer trying to turn the quarry into a zip wire site with a roller coaster as well, the roads just won't be able to cope, let alone the area being ruined. There is a petition to stop it here
