Dragonfly

Ukulele class  this morning and this afternoon I spent some time tidying up and weeding the garden. To my surprise,I found this hawker dragon fly resting on a peony leaf, a little distance  from the pond. I think it is a species I have  seen before  in the garden, but still a treat. It is probably Aeshna cyanea, which I blipped last year on 23rd July.
