Vipers Bugloss

It was great to see one of my favourite flowers in bloom on Kelling Heath this morning. H and I enjoyed a walk up Muckleburgh Hill and down to the beach where we intended to have our coffee. As soon as we sat down we were set upon by a great many tiny black beetles. They seemed particularly fond of my white coffee mug, including the contents. In the end we had to retreat back up the hill to find an alternative location in which to enjoy our morning coffee break.
