Banded snails

Jess and I walked in Pocket Park this evening where the nettles are taller than me.  Suddenly, I was amazed to see a snail at head height resting on a prickly leaf.  It must have been an awfully long way to climb up....  Once I started looking properly I saw loads of them as I walked!  They must like nettles.

It's a strange and slightly wonderful discovery.

Finally managed to catch up with youngest son Sam who has had a busy weekend with friends in Brighton for his 20th birthday.  So we're officially no longer parents of children, or even teenagers - yikes!
