Planting

A lovely morning with the promise of a good sunny day. After a little final raking, the raised beds were at last ready for planting potatoes - and the potatoes were definitely ready for planting. Interesting to note that they have been lying in wait since 9th March - we'd never have remembered without recording that blip! It has taken longer than expected to get them into the ground, thanks mainly to last month's dire weather as well as the digging and then deciding to make raised beds. The potatoes filled two of the four beds and the other pair accommodated about 40 strawberry plants, previously grown in tubs. Ah, what a satisfying sense of achievement!
