A sense of place.
I was so struck by the simplicity of a bit of stitching to evoke such a sense of place ... and to have it around your neck ... to carry a parish of churches, of congregations, of all that history and all that bloomin’ stonework, around your neck ... I was quite astonished by the simplicity of its affect ... and by the feeling of connection.
