Departure and arrival

Friday 
Round to mum's for our last morning. Had a walk locally, then set off for Bristol Airport after lunch. Several slow spots on the M5, but nothing major. Total madness at the airport. Long queues at security and too crowded to find a seat inside. Also very hot and probably a high covid risk, so we redonned our masks and escaped to the roof terrace between showers.
Flight was delayed 2 hours, as were many other flights. Beautiful sunset as we took off and fantastic views over the Bristol channel. Also wonderful views up to north Berwick and across to fife coming in to land. Eventually reached home at 11pm.
