A relaxing day

Hubby isn’t doing his usual Saturday sailing at the moment as the Ted Ashby is out of the water for its annual maintenance, so today we were able to have a leisurely breakfast before going to the farmers market. After depositing our purchases at home we headed out to buy a couple of cuddly blankets for the ”Fill the Truck Challenge” for the Give a Kid a Blanket charity.  It’s sad that such charities are needed, but we were happy to help. We visited a couple of other shops and then headed back home.  After lunch hubby got out in the garden and I concentrated on some household tasks.  We popped over to spend some time with Mum late afternoon, then returned home for our supper.  Later we watched the first episode of Grand Designs UK, in which an ex-army chap created the most amazing, expensive house inside a cemetery in south west London, based around a Neo-Gothic cemetery lodge.

While we were eating breakfast we noticed lots of yachts out on the harbour; then at the farmers market there were daffodils under the trees. It seems much too early for daffodils, as we haven’t had winter yet.
