Return trip to Monschau

It was exactly there in the open train carriage where we suddenly got the idea to cycle all the way to Monschau. Just a flat ride without too much traffic and then cycle back home. A return trip to Monschau via the Vennbahn.
With only 2% ascent, we pushed hard on the pedals. It seems like just 2%, but we felt it in our legs.
At Lammersdorf we had reached the highest point (539 meters) of our mega tour. The Vennbahn starts at 200 meters. We started at our house at 95 meters. This to get a picture.

At Monschau we turned the bikes around to get back home, an easy ride, although we got tired.
After a shower and a pizza, we lie on the couch to recover. Time to watch teevee.
