Reset

Today has been the most wonderful day of resetting and recharging after what has been a wonderful, but slightly manic, few weeks.

I cycled to pick up a croissant and a Saturday paper first thing and swiped a few beat boxes while I was at it (see yesterday’s blip). Then Eva came over and we did the most magnificent 9 miler around Nescliffe and the local trails. I’m used to the woodlands of Nescliffe and the sandy paths of the Cliffe but heading out towards Great Ness and Little Ness we did long bridleways, massively overgrown rapeseed crops, beautifully golden wheat (?!) and paddocks of ponies. The terrain was diverse and fun and the company was excellent. Eva has been back in Hungary for a few weeks so it was good to have a catch-up and hear about the new book she has just started writing.

This afternoon I have done nothing but lounge about and read and it has been utterly delightful!
