Ladies fellowship garden party

The ladies fellowship from St. Andrews had an afternoon tea in slightly drizzly conditions in yealmpton in the garden of members of the congregation. They have a lovely house and garden and there was a delicious spread of sandwiches and a superabundance of cakes. We were serenaded by Elaine who played the saxophone.

There was a sprinkling of younger people mostly those without children and then a significant gap and a whole host of older ladies.

The men have a breakfast event in a cafe in Plymouth and then in august there will be a barbecue for Tearfund in the same garden. That is an annual event and well attended by all sections of the congregation.

Extra: big screen Wimbledon in the William yard!
