‘Traffic Cone at the Ready’

Volunteering at Junior parkrun again this morning, this time marshalling.

I was stationed at the top of the path to the North Gate in Inverleith Park and today’s photo of the cone where runners turn round was taken just before the ‘off’. (See also extra)

There is a great view from here; you can see a bit of Arthur’s Seat and the Salisbury Crags on the left, and the beginning of the Pentland Hills on the right.

There were 54 runners and walkers aged between 4 and 14 , a bit fewer than usual (school holidays?),  with some pretty impressive times over the 2 kilometre course.
