One participant dropped out overnight, well done him for trying. It changed the dynamic/made it easier for me to manage, so today was mentally easier.... Physically tougher :-/

We put yesterday's skills into practice on a journey, a classic Langdale loop. Introduced compasses (90% of instructors do this far too soon, controversial but I'm right...), added in the idea of off path and some basic steep ground strategies.

But. 

This is Wellness Walks. 
So we also paused, chatted, looked at how to reset ourselves, lose some stress, be more present.
And we sat and gave thanks, in this, the grandest cathedral of them all.
