Twenty percent

I tried to capture the gradient on this hill down into Beaminster, but I find it difficult to do so.  According to the meter on my car it reaches 20% at about this stage of the descent from Beaminster Down.

And I think that these hills are responsible for the wear on my front tyres: because the lanes are so narrow the descent is often punctuated with stops to allow another car to pass, and braking on a descent causes extra wear, on both brakes and tyres.  I have a feeling that my front tyres will not last more than 10,000 miles, and that's a £300 sting . . .
