Man Meets Dog
Many, many years ago, I attended lectures by the late Aubrey Manning. He referred to the work of Konrad Lorenz who wrote this charity shop find. Prof. Manning also mentioned one problem in delivering lectures to first year undergraduates namely, at the end of any lecture in which he identified some behaviour as being unique to humans, a student would assure him that their dog or other pet demonstrated that same behaviour. Lorenz tells many anecdotes of clever but dog- or wolf-like dogs, not human though. And the drawings are his.
