Looking east

as I commuted to work just after 6 o’clock this morning. The only picture I took during a busy day. This is the view looking upstream on the Torridge estuary taken quickly from the Tarka trail, a useful and well used cycling and walking route. It was originally a very useful railway line.
Another ride with such a variety of wildlife, hearing a kingfisher I was just quick enough to catch a glimpse of it darting away along a channel in the estuary. Plenty of oystercatchers were both visible and audible as they defended their offspring from possible predators.
Another 35 miles in the bank for “Simon’s Misfits “ big team challenge followed up (after a hearty meal of paella) by an hour spent hedge and shrub trimming.
